Project LifeLong

Today was an extra special day for us as we had been anticipating working with Project Lifelong (@projectlifelong) for weeks along with Tacoma Powered (@tacomapowered) and 4runner Powered (@4runnerpowered). Project Life Long is a Sacramento based non-profit that provides powerful experiences for our youth. They formally empower the youth with after-school skateboarding programs, but this time off-roading is being introduced for the first time and it proved to be a major success!

Being our first time working together, we all opted to have the event at Prairie City SVRA due to it’s close proximity and closed-environment where we’d have better control of what to expect. Throughout the day we saw and heard the excitement coming from the kids and it was quite a feeling being able to do so. Even though Aldrin’s Tacoma got hydro-locked in the mud pit, it was nothing but smiles all around. The mishap was actually a learning tool that helped us display acts of teamwork and the valuable lesson to always expect the unexpected.

We hope all the kids had fun and we hope that we were able to be some sort of inspiration for their future. A very special thank you to Hung Nguyen (@trd_black_pro) for connecting us with Sean Latour-Jarquin of Project Life Long. Thank you to Tacoma Powered and 4runner Powered for the combined effort in making this happen for the kids. Thank you to all the volunteers who put in the time and work throughout the day. This is the start of something beautiful and we hope to continue to work together for this great cause!

P.S.

Project Life Long will be at Basecamp 4.0! A portion of our proceeds will be donated to their cause. Be sure to come by and say hi!
