PURE 4x4 Basecamp 5.0
We have officially completed the 5th installment of the PURE 4x4 BASECAMP series! And what an event BC5 came out to be!
Let me start by saying THANK YOU to each and every person who was able to attend this now staple of an event at Big Bear. We hit nearly (if not over) 500 rigs camping throughout the whole weekend (by comparison, Basecamp 1.0 had a total of 150 vehicles in attendance). And you know who showed out just as hard as our attendees? Our VENDORS and SPONSORS came out TOUGH and ready to get down throughout the weekend.
Our diligent PURE family and team also came out strong with helping man the event and making sure everything ran like a well-oiled machine. 2022 marks our 15th anniversary, “15 PURE YEARS,” and made day zero at Basecamp even more special with members coming in from Hawaii, Vegas, Arizona, NorCal, and even one traveling straight to Southern California from Wyoming!
Everything about this event seemed to have grown exponentially compared to the last time we were at Big Bear. We definitely felt the energy from EVERYONE. But the energy definitely redlined once we saw OTG SoCal’s “Cool Bus” (@otgsocal, @typicalbus) during the Baja Designs Lumen Hour on Saturday. The Cool Bus and the Camp Bomb converted ambulance (@camp.bomb) met during the improv parade and instantly catalyzed a huge lumen party that was absolutely insane. We are always advocates for safety and do not condone reckless acts, but luckily everything went fine and the party went on. What we do like, however, is high positive energy where everyone is just trying to have fun together.
We were absolutely BLESSED to have Kaipo (@kaipoofficial) and Delylah (@delylah.ursua) perform Saturday evening. The crowd absolutely loved their performances along with DJ One10 (@djone10_) playing all the hits all weekend. We do plan to implement even more performances for the next Basecamp, so if you have any requests, please do let us know who you’d like to see.
Shout out to Tread Lightly (@treadlightlyteam) for hosting BC5’s Grand Raffle! Congrats to all the winners that were able to take home some goodies!
DuroBumps (@durobumps) was BC5’s official title sponsor and has been absolutely awesome with everything leading up to and during the event. Thank you Curtis and the gang for everything you do not only for us, but the whole 4x4 community!
