Sal’s New Sequoia
It’s amazing to see how far the Toyota 4x4 truck has come in terms of technology and styling. The new Sequoia is the epitome of the ultimate modern-day 4x4. Gone are the bulky unusually bubbly lines of the latter “soccer dad” vehicle. This new TRD Pro boasts sharp lines and bulges in all the right places. Combined with the efficiency of a twin-turbo V6, could this be the ultimate overland platform?
Sal from Klean Ridez Accessories (@kleansequoia) was kind enough to travel from San Jose to meet us just North of Sacramento for the photo and video shoot. Just under 2 months prior, this 2023 Sequoia TRD Pro was bone stock from the dealership. Though his build is far from done, what has been accomplished quickly has already developed into a beautiful daily driver.
His current stance is achieved by a Westcott Designs lift kit paired with the factory Fox suspension along with a set of Stealth Custom Series F5 wheels and 37” Toyo Open Country M/T’s. The addition of Baja light bars up front will ensure ample vision during night drives. The new Prinsu roof rack and iKamper Skycamp 2.0 roof top tent round out the top half of the rig beautifully.
Throughout the day we were able to witness this beast do some light off-roading and a few water crossings. It was really a sight to see as there aren’t too many 3rd gen Sequoia’s built up to this stature just yet. We’re extremely excited to see the next phase for Sal’s rig. But for now, please enjoy the walk around video on YouTube:
