We’re back in business boys!

Wekfest started in Northern California in 2008 and it’s finally back for 2021. Being from NorCal we consider the Wekfest stop in San Jose to be our homecoming event to attend. Prior to Wekfest we used to attend the J’s Gathering events in the mid 2000’s that were held at in the underground parking lot below Japantown in San Francisco. Since then we’ve been hooked on the predominantly JDM culture that has played a huge role in our adolescence.

This was the first year we were able to display both our PURE VIP and PURE 4X4 vehicles together at WFSJ so we wanted to try and highlight both examples in our lineup. At Wekfest Los Angeles last moth we separated our counterparts, but for San Jose we decided to alternate them in our lineup. Hopefully this resonated to everyone that we aren’t necessarily one or the other. We are both. The passion runs deep in either, and we take pride in building a platform whether truck or car.

It truly felt good to be back showing in the 408. We loved being able to see old car buddies that we haven’t seen in 2 years and it was also a pleasure meeting all the new faces. It was amazing to notice how many people have started to recognize our PURE 4X4 movement and nice to hear everyones off-roading plans for the upcoming year.

We were so busy all weekend that we weren’t able to get too much footage of other vehicles, so most of the photos you’ll see are from staging. As soon as the doors opened for general admission at 1 PM, the South Hall was literally packed to the brim.

Surprisingly, we were able to take home some hardware for the team. PURE received “2nd Best Crew” and my Lexus LS430 snuck away with “VIP of Festival.” I say snuck away since there some real heavy hitters out there in the VIP scene that I felt were also worthy of the award. The recognition really sparked up some motivation to revise/modify the LS a bit more for 2022. We’ll see what’s in store for it soon.

We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that came by the booth this weekend. All of you give us the motivation to go big or go home with PURE.
